I also want to be a pin up model and/or burlesque star. It would be so so fun!
Plus, i need money, as always.

movies movies

it's becoming fairly apparent to myself that i watch too many movies, and they're hardly every paticularly happy, or have anything really concluded, which may be why i enjoy them but oh well.

Therefore ,i think it would be make sense to do film reviews in my blog, instead of chatting complete rubbish.
I'll start with the film i most recently wathed...

Welcome to the Dollhouse (1995)

the film is a black comedy about a not very attractive seventh grade girl, in america called Dawn. She is bullied by literally everyone in her school and is obviously jealous of her little sister who gains all her familys attention, which leads to some sad but, due to my sense of humour, funny moments. She starts to develop a crush on a much older boy wh ois in her nerdy brothers band. Her character develops throughout the movie, which was really interesting, as did other characters in the movie- Brandon, who constantly threatens and bullys Dawn, actually becomes someone who you feel sympathy for. There was some really touching moments, despite the disturbing content- for example, a scene where Brandon intends to rape Dawn ( which Dawn doesn't seem too unwilling to go along with..) leads to a tender kiss shared between the two, and it is apparent that Brandon has a lot deeper feelings for Dawn, and the strange relationship that develops between the two of them is weird, but sweet.

The movie depicted the life of Dawn so well that I started to really feel that I knew her in a way hahaha. I also dont think it's a good thing that i wnated half of her wardrobe...
I also just generally liked the way the film looked, with its brightand pastel colours, and the settings it chose.

I think that the film was a great representation of adolesence, and, without sounding too cliche, the troubles you face as you grow up
